Being split between where we are and where we think we could (or should) be is one of the greatest stressors we lay on ourselves. We go on vacation and think we should be back home; we are home and wish we were on vacation. We are free and single and we wish we in a relationship; we are in a relationship and wonder . . . what if I were alone? Or with someone else? We can't quite dedicate efforts to one thing for fear of missing out on another, so we try to rush and finish what we are doing so we can get on the next thing, never getting to that place where we are satisfied with exactly what is.

Zen tells us: Be Here Now! Relax, en-joy, let go. Look! Listen! Feel! Dive gently deep . . . there is always plenty right where we are, if only we would get here.
